The Q-swtich Nd:YAG laser, which is specialized for pigmentation treatment, typically increases energy to enhance the treatment effect, but this can lead to damage to the epidermal layer, causing bleeding and darkening of the pigmentation. In contrast, despite the high energy density of the fractional mode, the laser is delivered to the lesion in micro-sized units, which allows for stable melanin destruction without damaging normal cells, offering a safer and more effective treatment.
